DR. BETH SIMPSON
Beth was born and raised in Canterbury. She joined Papanui Medical Centre in 1985 as a job-sharing arrangement with Dr Calder Botting. She now shares a room with Paula Hanley. She enjoys all areas of general practice, especially caring for three generations of some families. She also enjoys her elderly rest home patients, including caring for those with dementia. Beth is a mother of three, and is married to Allan, who is a full-time ophthalmology specialist, and she is a nana to Archer and Evelynn. She has completed a course in travel medicine and is very happy to see travellers to discuss their health needs. Outside of medicine she enjoys tramping and jogging and she also believes exercise is important for the health of her patients. Her Christianity is also important to her.
Beth is no longer a partner of the practice but is working as an Associate doctor for a couple of sessions as week as she steps back to enjoy more time with her family and exploring the outdoors.
