Phasing out of Cilazapril

Currently cilazapril is used in New Zealand more than any other country, and there is only one place in the world that makes the active ingredient.  This means if there were a supply issue, it would be difficult for Pharmac to be able to find an alternative for everyone prescribed it.  We have been instructed by Pharmac to transition patients to other medications and this will be done as part of your medication review when you present next.
