Kia ora, I’m Pene Kingsford
I am the Health Improvement Practitioner at Papanui Medical Centre and a Registered Social Worker with extensive experience supporting people with their health, mental health, and overall wellbeing.
My career has included many years at Christchurch Hospital, where I worked across a range of services including General Medicine, Intensive Care, Emergency Department, Women’s Health, and Paediatrics. More recently, I have worked within the disability and autism sector, supporting individuals and whānau to navigate challenges and build on their strengths.
I take a holistic, strengths-based approach to my work, recognising that every person has unique skills, values, and resources that can support their wellbeing. My role is to work alongside people, helping them identify what matters most and develop practical strategies to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Born and raised in Christchurch, I am passionate about serving our local community. Outside of work, I enjoy daily ocean swims, keeping active at the gym, meditation, and spending quality time with friends and family.
I feel privileged to do this work and am committed to supporting people to thrive and live their best lives. I work full-time at Papanui Medical Centre and offer 30-minute appointments. Anyone can book an appointment with me to talk about any issue affecting their health and wellbeing, whether it’s stress, anxiety, life challenges, relationships, motivation, or simply finding ways to improve overall wellness.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your wellbeing journey.
